The Motorhome Conversion Company
Operating nationwide and with customers from all parts of Australia, The Motorhome Conversion Company stands alone in the retail motorhome industry in terms of their ability to supply and fit out pre-loved (second hand) buses and vans into completely customised Motorhomes and Campervans. Founded in August 2005 by the current managing director and owner John Jeffreys, the business originally sold completed motorhomes that were directly imported from Japan. After recognizing his customers were looking for more flexibility and control over the design and layout of their motorhome, John started importing empty buses, design the interiors in conjunction with his customers and build by qualified trade personnel.
Starting with just 2 staff members (John and one motorhome fitter), the company has now grown to include 2 factory locations and 1 massive undercover showroom which currently houses over 30 buses/motorhomes at any one time. Key to the company’s impressive growth and customer satisfaction record has been the efforts by the business to increase the build quality of its fit-outs. Such has been the quality of products produced by Motorhomes Conversions, that we are regular exhibitors in most of the State Motorhome and Industry Shows across the country (which are exclusively permitted to only brand new products).
Our business’ unique structure provides our customers the choice to choose and design their very own ‘dream on wheels’ while still maintaining a level of affordability to those in the market for a quality motorhome. Customers can choose to either supply their own vehicle or to purchase an empty second hand bus from the vehicle showroom (e.g. Toyota Coaster). This ‘blank canvas’ vehicle can then be fitted and designed to suit the individual tastes of the customer. In addition, we also supply individual fit out services (e.g. installing a kitchen, beds, toilet etc.) for completed motorhomes as well as a wide variety of motorhome accessories including solar panels, awnings, reversing cameras, fridges, etc.
